Conger Bay Boat Club Established 1959
Our History
We began as a cruising club in 1959 to promote safe boating on lake St. Clair. We chose the name Conger Bay because all our meetings were held at The Conger Bay Lodge on Conger Bay Drive which was owned by George Lukas Sr. The name of the Lodge was changed to Jacks Bay Lounge when it was purchased by Jack Burgilo, Jacks was known as the clubhouse until 1977 when the island lease was purchased. Our Island Paradise is located off the Chenal A Bout Rond (Sni Bora) on what is known on the chart as the Pollet cut, so stop by for a visit. We can accommodate most powerboats up to 50 feet long. Afterall, for over 60 years now, we have been known as;
"The Friendliest Club on the Lake"
